It is located on the Güita path, Suesca municipality belonging to Cundinamarca department in Colombia. Inside of this reserve, there are three different types of zonation: (i) conservation, (ii) cushioning and special management and (iii) the last one is related to intensive use. The area sampled was on the conservation zone. The species reported for this place are: Morella Pubescens, Senna viarum, Myrcianthes leucoxyla, Oreopanax sp, Calliandra trinervia, Dodonaea viscosa, Mysine coriácea, Viburnum triphyllum, Escallonia myrtilloides, Bocconia frutencens, Duranta mutisii, Croton lechleri, Platanus racemosa, Guaiacum officinale, Cecropia peltata, Salix viminalis, Sambucus nigra L. This point was after the Bogota River on the way to Suesca stone. The difference between plot 1 and 2 was 200 meters approximately. Dominant species (Weinmannia tomentosa) description: Large tree (15-25 m), with small light green leaves (2–7 centimetres, with white backside, and raquis with small wings of rhomboidal shape. alternated palmatilobulated (hand-shaped) leaves. The terminal branches are divided with thick nodes with similar shape to the human metacarpus. The flowers are small spicas (4–6 cm) creamy-white colored. |
