Soil type: Vertic Luvisols with transitions.; A lakeshore was about 150 m from the plot, locally high grazing pressure of gazelles. The area has not been burnt this year. Acacia spp, Albizia spp., Poaceae, Themeda – Hyparrhenia and Sporobolus-Botriochchloa savanna communities.
