Forest with predominating Pinus brutia, quite rich understorey including Quercus coccifera, Erica spp, other shrubs, grasses, forbs. Mature forest without signs of human impact. Ca 500 m from the river valley in a mountainous landscape. Two pooled samples (app 40 subs) over appr 30x30m plot. Pinus brutia. Some traces of burning on some pine stems, otherwise undisturbed. No 15x15m grid was used. |
