Plot is located circa 5 km to the south from Moquehue village and circa 50 m east from the road. There is uninvaded Araucaria araucana forest with Nothofagus antarctica understorey. Landscape is slightly hilly, but othervise in a valley. Tree layer is 20-25 m; cover 60%; different age classes represented; lot of juveniles. Dominant species: Araucaria araucana, Nothofagus antarctica, Festuca sp., Pernettya (ericoid), Lathyrus magellanicus. Not much disturbed, some signs of horse grazing. A small number of alians - Trifolium repens, Rumex acetosella. Plot is paired with plot AAz. |
